4.1 Lens Communities

Make your lens handle a community

Lens Communities allows followers of that handle to submit a post request, which can then be reviewed by the Community Owner/ Handle Owner. Upon accepting the post is created, just like a regular post but with Posted by u/<creator_handle>.

A step-by-step guide

1. Make you handle a lens community

Your lens community will live on l/<lenshandle>

2. Submit a post request by followers

Followers are members of the community by default.

They can submit a post request by selecting your community from Create Post Pop Up.

3. Creator reviews the requested post

Requested posts will appear in the review posts section on the community settings dashboard.

Here, creator can choose to accept or reject the post.

4. On accepting or rejecting a submitted post

On Rejecting a post, the author will be notified and that post will be removed from Review Submitted Posts Section.

On Accepting a post, it will be posted from your account just like how a normal post is posted.

Here is how it will look on Lenster

"Post by @<author_handle> " will appear at the start of post, signifying by whom the post belongs to.

Note: There are no contracts involved in the entire process, at the end you have entire access to your account. A submitted post is stored in our DB.
